‘Quezon’, the final film in ‘Heneral’ trilogy, now has a script
History buffs, rejoice! Director Jerrold Tarog, who helmed 2015’s Heneral Luna and 2018’s Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, has finished writing the script for the tentatively titled Quezon. Tarog shared the news on Twitter, posting a picture of the piece he co-wrote with Rody Vera.
Kakatapos lang script. Tingnan natin kung i-aprub. https://t.co/cTo3H8UoAt pic.twitter.com/bwwVyjTdPB

Quezon, which serves as the final installment in TBA Studios’ Heneral trilogy, will follow the life of Manuel L. Quezon, the second president of the Philippines, through several decades. Benjamin Alves previously portrayed the character in ‘Luna’ while TJ Trinidad briefly took over by the end of ‘Goyo’.
Unlike the previous entries, Quezon will be comedic and satirical, broken down into ‘four short films’, according to an interview with Tarog back in April. The film will center around Quezon’s sly maneuverings to preserve his presidency.
‘In fact, marami siyang mga sinabi na, ‘You shouldn’t take politics too seriously.’ Parang nilalaro niya lang yung mga tao. Iyon yung pinakatema, kung paano niya na-manipulate yung sistema to keep himself in power’.
