Kapag daw kasi may corn smut, isang masamang kalagayan daw ito sa mga tanim ng mga magsasaka. Ngunit, ayon sa post, maganda umano ang dulot nito at maaari pang maibenta nang mas mahal kaysa sa ordinaryong mga mais.
Ito ay tinatawag na cuitlacoche, isang uri ng kabute na natural umanong tumutubo sa mga mais. Isa raw itong magandang pinagkukunan ng protina at amino acid lysine.

"This is called cuitlacoche, a kind of mushroom that grows in corn, it will just naturally appear in some corn cobs, not all, just few. And it has more protein than the corn itself, one of the best sources of amino acid lysine. Medyo mahirap lang makahanap ng market nito but kung alam mo saan ibenta, this is 3,000 per kilo.
If you don’t have a market, then you eat them instead and you will get the densed vits and minerals it contains. In our farm, sinasama naming sa ginataang sarisaring gulay, although may kulat itim sya pero masarap, malinamnam at higit sa lahat masustansya. Pwede naman gisa lang just like any mushrooms tapos dagdagan mo ng fresh corn kernels. Enjoy! J”
