Remember when we said that more influencers should give a crap once in a while given their huge… well, influence? Well, Albie Casiño inadvertently answered our prayers on Instagram, when he sarcastically congratulated everyone for ‘voting wisely’ in 2016.
‘My face when they said ECQ season 2’, the actor wrote. ‘Congrats to everyone who voted nung 2016. Sana natutuwa kayo ngayon. Vote wisely sa 2022.’

Apparently, Albie’s jab towards the country’s dire situation wasn’t appreciated by the administration supporters. The mob came armed to the teeth with their classic hits, leaving comments such as ‘Anong ambag mo?’, ‘Ikaw na mag-presidente’, and our fave ‘Ikaw na matalino’, because apparently, being informed is a crime.
But instead of retreating into his shell, Albie chose violence. I mean, his online fists were rated E for everyone. No person, regardless of sex, gender, and social status was safe.
It’s not exactly what we had in mind when we advocated for ‘educating followers’, but hey, sometimes enough is enough, and you gotta fight fire with fire.
