More Pisay students got into universities abroad, including Yale

Having the opportunity to attend college is already a pat on the back, but receiving an acceptance letter from an Ivy League school such as Yale is quite an accomplishment on its own. Several students from different Philippine Science High School (PSHS) campuses received admissions to various esteemed universities abroad.

Many news outlets have reported about PSHS students, namely Nathan Wayne Ariston and Maria Charisma Estrella, who landed a spot at Yale University and Yale University – NUS College. There were also reports on Dominic Navarro and Edrian Paul Liao, who both secured scholarships from foreign universities.

At the same time, the PSHS system announced on their official Facebook and Twitter accounts a few more students who received the same recognition.

Nathan Wayne Ariston

Ariston, a student from the PSHS – Central Mindanao Campus, earned a full scholarship plan to major in physics at Yale University. He also passed universities like the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of California – Irvine, and Nanyang Technological University.

Maria Charisma Estrella

From the PSHS – Calabarzon Region Campus, Estrella was offered admission to Yale University – NUS College with a degree in inclined interest towards Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She also landed a double degree program at New York University.

Dominic Navarro

Navarro received a scholarship for a BS Mathematics degree at Jacobs University, located in Germany. He also scored another scholarship for a degree in Actuarial Science at the Bentley University in the USA. Finally, he was also offered admission to the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is a student from PSHS – Ilocos Region Campus.

Edrian Paul Liao

Joining Navarro at Jacobs University is a student from the PSHS – Cagayan Valley Campus. Liao was also offered admission to Duke University, where he shall take an engineering degree with a minor in computer science. He is also the first Filipino recipient of the Karsh International Scholarship Program, which provides full support to international students at the university.

Earlier today, the PSHS system posted four other students from the Southern Mindanao Campus who obtained admissions from educational institutions abroad:
