Avril Lavigne does not age and TikTok has proof
It’s 2003 all over again
Some of us are truly blessed with the ability to defy Father Time. Think Keanu Reeves, Paul Rudd, or in this case, the immortal pop-punk Queen Avril Lavigne.
The 36-year-old created a TikTok video for the first time, which saw her lip-syncing to her classic hit Sk8er Boi, and features real-life skater Tony Hawk. It’s the most nostalgic, early 2000s thing to come out of this year, and we’re more than happy to bask in this throwback.

But more than the fan service, the Internet was happy to see Avril doing well, who notably disclosed her years-long battle with Lyme Disease in 2018. The singer was first diagnosed with the tick-borne illness in 2014 and was confined to her bed for two years.
Since her recovery, she has released her sixth studio album Head Above Water in 2019, with an upcoming seventh teased for 2021.
