PH is celebrating the BTS Meal like it’s the second coming of Christ

While BTS has undoubtedly dominated the music scene, its collab with Mcdonald’s has gained worldwide attention. It led to a BTS nugget being sold for millions of pesos and the temporary closure of McDo branches in Indonesia. Today, the BTS Meal officially launches in the Philippines, and ARMYs couldn’t wait to cop it.

If you’re wondering what the BTS Meal is all about, it includes a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, McDo’s medium fries, medium Coca-Cola, and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by popular South Korea Mcdo recipes.

In line with the launch, McDonald’s gave over 2,000 BTS Meals to medical frontliners across NCR and key areas before its release to the public. They also let the color purple take over their stores. Joining the party is SM Mall of Asia’s purple globe, showing a finger heart.

In 2020, Twitter announced that BTS landed on the top spot in the Most Tweeted about K-pop Groups and Most Tweeted about K-pop hashtags lists in the Philippines, as per ABS CBN News. Fast forward to this day, ARMYs can’t stop tweeting about the group’s collab with McDonald’s.

Some fans got creative by posting tweets showing Taehyung tied up in front of a McDo cashier, and another even designed their own Sweet Chili and Cajun sauces.

The anticipated meal also made rounds on Facebook. A user shared a photo of her daughter’s BTS Meal packaging left out to dry. Meanwhile, a group of McDo staff took to TikTok their own spin as they grooved to Butter and showed the purple-lit facade of Capitol Town Pampanga.
