Bumble is opening its first-ever cafe this month
After hitting off the virtual talking stage on Bumble, some matches tend to have a dilemma over where to meet. The dating app provides a solution by launching their first-ever cafe called Bumble Brew.
The women-makes-the-first-move app’s new establishment is described as a “casual all-day cafe by day with the ambiance of an intimate restaurant and wine bar at night.” For its new venture, Bumble teams up with Pasquale Jones, a New York City restaurant.
Bumble Brew will have room for 80 people (or 40 matches) where they can choose to hang out in the dining room, cocktail bar, patio, or a private dining section. The cafe and wine bar will also play different genres of music by women artists. It is a female-led app, after all.
While they do have a cup of espresso for people to bond over, the Italian-inspired menu centers on vegetables, pasta, and shareable plates. On the other hand, their breakfast menu includes croissants and ricotta with bee pollen (which is on point).
Julia Smith, Bumble’s head of brand partnerships, said she hopes that people can connect in the space not just for dates, but also for potential friends or a new business connection.
‘We’ve seen a resounding response to the Bumble Hive pop-ups we’ve hosted around the world and noticed a clear appetite for a permanent space where people could connect,’ Smith added.
Buzzkill alert: Bumble Brew will open in New York City on July 24. However, just like the app, the cafe might soon be available in several countries. *fingers crossed*
