Silk Sonic’s ‘Skate’ MV is out, and it shows that summer isn’t over
It has been about three months since Silk Sonic released their debut single Leave The Door Open. While their fans can’t wait to hear new music, the much-awaited sophomore track Skate just dropped a few hours ago.
The duo behind the group, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak took the announcement of their latest track on Twitter. This followed after posting a teaser showing an image of a red vintage car with words that read, ‘You’ve been invited to Silk Sonic’s Summertime Jam this Friday.’
The latest tweet featured a snippet of Skate‘s music video, which happens to be directed by Mars himself along with Florent Dechard, and co-directed by Philippe Tayag.

Silk Sonic’s catchy track was paired with visuals that captured a 70s warm summer afternoon. Mars and .Paak can be seen singing and drumming while a group of ladies circles around them to skate and dance. The song also opens with a smooth line that goes, ‘In a room full of dimes you would be 100 dollars.’
The two apparently have yet to release a studio album called An Evening with Silk Sonic, as mentioned in several reports.
Put your rollerskates on (if you happen to have one) and groove along with the new single and MV below.
