ADMU tops 2022 graduate employability in the PH, says global ranking
After students go through the so-called best four years of their lives, a new world full of bills, taxes, and responsibility awaits them. Looking for a job after college isn’t easy for some, but the latest QS World University Ranking revealed that graduates from the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) are at the top spot for employability in the Philippines.
The 2022 QS rankings center on Graduate Employability, which focuses on the ability of universities to sufficiently equip students for employment by connecting them with global employers and making sure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge.
The rankings included four universities from the country in total, but only ADMU made it in the top 200 as it ranked 151-160. The other institutions are the University of Santo Tomas (UST) at 251-300 rank, while De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of the Philippines (UP) were both at 301-500.
The ranking of each university on the list was composed of five carefully chosen indicators: Employer reputation (30%), Alumni outcomes (25%), Partnerships with Employers per Faculty (25%), Employer/Student Connections (10%), and Graduate employment rate (10%).

3. University of California, Los Angeles (US)
4. The University of Sydney (Australia)
5. Harvard University (US)
6. Tsinghua University (China)
7. University of Oxford (UK)
8. The University of Melbourne (Australia)
9. Cornell University (US)
10. The University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)
‘As the world recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of graduating with the skills and qualities required by modern employers has arguably never been greater,’ stated the QS Website.
