Real-life ‘The Conjuring’ house is being sold for around 61.2 million pesos

If you’re a massive fan of the Conjuring franchise, you can now own the house that inspired the series – provided you have $1.2 million (around PHP 61.2 million) in the bank, that is.

According to a press release by real estate firm Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, the property is located in Burrillville, Rhode Island, and includes a 3,000 square-foot farmhouse with fourteen bedrooms. The house, found in 1826, is rumored to be haunted by one of its original inhabitants, Bathsheba Sherman.

‘To this day, countless happenings have been reported’, reads the site. ‘The chilling stories, incidents, and recollections of residents and visitors of the property have been told in dozens of media productions including books, movies, and television shows.’

The most famous story involves the Perron family, who supposedly experienced disturbing events in 1971. The experiences of Ed and Lorraine Warren, two paranormal investigators who assisted the family, served as the inspo behind 2013’s Conjuring.

The property was last bought in 2019 by Cory and Jennifer Heinzen, who also reported weird occurrences such as ‘doors opening and closing on their own, footsteps, knocking and disembodied voices’ according to The Independent.

Today, the house hosts tours, events, and other paranormal researchers and ghost hunters. It’s a lucrative business opportunity – if one can get over its scary history, and even scarier price tag.
