Adele releases ‘Easy On Me’ and people are bawling their eyes out
There have been a couple of artists who released new albums this year, but Adele’s comeback is something else. After almost six years, she released a new song Easy On Me paired with a music video on Friday, October 15.
Over a week before the Grammy winner revealed that her latest track, she posted a teaser on all her social media accounts which got her fans excited. She then revealed that it will be the first single from her upcoming fourth studio album titled 30, which is set to release on November 19.
During an Instagram live, someone asked Adele about the album’s theme to which she promptly replied, ‘Divorce, babe. Divorce.’ The 33-year-old had been through a lot during the years she was on hiatus. There were reports mostly about her divorce, weight loss, and custody of her son. But now she’s ready to share her music with the world again.
The singer said in a statement, ‘I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peace in my life. And so, I’m ready to finally put this album out.’
Easy On Me‘s music video was shot in Quebec, which features the same house where Adele shot her 2015 hit single Hello. Some scenes present her singing while sitting on a chair, which fans consider as something that’s reminiscent of the visuals for Rolling In The Deep.
One of the arguably painful lyrics that hit the listeners in the feels is, ‘There ain’t no room / For things to change / When we are both so deeply / Stuck in our ways.’ Fans of the singer expressed their thoughts on the album and most of them posted memes showing that they’re ugly crying over the new song.
