Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ isn’t just a song, but a limited-edition cannabis line

One of Justin Bieber’s chart-topping tracks called Peaches opens with, ‘I got my peaches out in Georgia, I get my weed from California.’ The singer somewhat spoke the lyrics into existence as he ventures on a new business: cannabis-based products called “Peaches Pre-Rolls.”

The 27-year-old has partnered with Palms Premium to roll out limited-edition marijuana cigarettes a.k.a. joints, which are named after his hit song. While the pop star has millions of fans worldwide, the products will only be available in selected dispensaries in California, Nevada, Massachusetts, and Florida. The estimated retail price ranges from $50 to $60 (approximately P2500 to P3000).

Bieber’s collaboration with the Cali-based company aims to “create a brand that destigmatizes recreational cannabis consumption once and for all.” Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the products’ sales will be given to Veterans Walk and Talk, an organization that advocates for cannabis as a form of natural medicine. It will also go towards the Last Prisoner Project, which is committed to freeing every last prisoner of the unjust war on drugs, starting with individuals imprisoned for cannabis.

Palms co-founder Noah Annes said that their collaboration with Bieber will help highlight important topics on mental health and cannabis consumption. He said, ‘Together, we will be able to further our message of utilizing cannabis in a functional and meaningful way, allowing it to be a light in the dark… and also, a really enjoyable time.

‘I’m a fan of Palms and what they are doing by making cannabis approachable and helping to destigmatize it – especially for the many people who find it helpful for their mental health,’ Bieber said. ‘I wanted to make sure that I was doing something that felt genuine with them and Peaches felt like a good place to start.’

The Biebs isn’t the first artist to release cannabis-related products. He joins other celebrities such as rapper Jay-Z, singer Willie Nelson, actress Nicole Kidman, and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart.
