You can now rent the OG ‘Home Alone’ house for the holidays
A few months ago, the spooky house from Scream was up for rent in time for Halloween. But now that the holiday season is fast approaching, Airbnb will have a one-night-only rental of the actual Home Alone house of the McCallister family in Chicago.
Yup, you can experience staying at that house you saw in arguably one of people’s fave Christmas films – minus the wet bandits, of course. While Kevin won’t be around to pull a few crazy antics, the site says that guests will be hosted by Buzz a.k.a. Kevin’s older brother.
‘You may not remember me as particularly accommodating,’ Buzz said in a release. ‘But I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home — my pizza, even — with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.’
The OG McCallister home interiors are similar to when you saw it in the movie, with booby traps set in place and also an actual tarantula. Your overnight stay wouldn’t be complete without tasting some comfort food the house offers including “plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza” and “a candlelit dinner of microwavable Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.”

The announcement follows after Disney+’s premiere of the reboot Home Sweet Home Alone, which features a special appearance from Buzz. Guests will also get the chance to watch the remake during their stay.
If you don’t want to miss a chance on this holiday experience, booking is priced at P1,259 per night and it opens on December 8 at 3:00 AM PST on Airbnb’s website. Only a maximum of four guests can be accommodated, and each of them will receive a present containing a LEGO set of the Home Alone house.
This listing aims to raise funds for Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital, which is “dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life for each of its patients with complex conditions, disabilities, and chronic illness.”
