This survival game reimagines Pokémon with guns

Many video games have done interesting collabs with brands or dropped a new character to further catch your attention. But if you want to explore something new, consider Palworld, a survival monster-catching and battling game. The twist? Its characters look like Pokémon knock-offs who have guns.

The RPG multiplayer game recently dropped its second trailer, which gave a deeper look at what players can expect. You will see several “pals” a.k.a. the Pokémon-like creatures that resemble Lucario, Ampharos, and Xerneas at first glance. Interestingly, one of them looks like Studio Ghibli’s Totoro but in a yellow hue.

Even if the game is not set in a first-person shooter mode, players and their monsters can jump, slide, and shoot guns and rifles in third-person matches. Apart from that, players can order their monsters to create structures buildings for them.

Palworld’s Steam page is live and its description says the game is about living a “slow easy-going happy life with mysterious creatures called ‘Pal’ or throwing yourself into life-and-death battles with the villainous poachers.”

The game guarantees what players can do their Pals: sell them, butcher them to eat, give them hard labor, pillage, rob, and exercise complete mayhem.

The explanation added, ‘This is completely up to the players to make adult decisions like these since the laws in this world prohibit such activities. Just don’t get caught!’

Palworld is anticipated to release later this year. You can also watch its first trailer below while waiting for it to drop.
