BIGBANG will release new music after 4 years, and fans can’t wait
There are a couple of artists making a comeback lately, and K-pop group BIGBANG is one of them. YG Entertainment announced on Monday, Feb. 7, that the quartet is set to release new music after almost four years.
According to a Soompi report, the group will be releasing a new track that their fans a.k.a. VIPs should watch out for. It will be released this spring, meaning any time between late March to June. It added, ‘[BIGBANG] has already completed recording their new song, and they are currently preparing to shoot the music video.’
The upcoming song marks BIGBANG’s first release since their last digital single Flower Road, which dropped in March 2018. Seungri has left the group and retired from showbiz since then. Meanwhile, the remaining members consist of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung.
Aside from the group’s comeback, YG Entertainment also revealed that T.O.P will be leaving the agency after 16 years, and will continue doing his own thing as an artist and entrepreneur.
‘We respected T.O.P’s desire to broaden the scope of his individual activities aside from just his promotions with BIGBANG, and he successfully came to an agreement about this with other members,’ the label said. ‘As long as the conditions are right, T.O.P will always participate in BIGBANG’s activities whenever he is able.’
The group is known for their chart-topping hits like BANG BANG BANG, Fantastic Baby, and Loser. Their last album titled MADE was released in 2016.
As expected, news about the group’s much-awaited return trended after their fans expressed their excitement all over the Internet.
