Ariana Grande was (kinda) present in the Leni-Kiko Pasig City rally
Last month, Vice President Leni Robredo unexpectedly got a thumbs up from the talented music icon Cher, who agreed that people should #LetLeniLead. But recently, the presidential aspirant’s rally in Pasig City landed on Ariana Grande’s Instagram Stories. Yup, this is not a drill.
On March 21, Grande posted two consecutive videos that showed the PasigLaban crowd. While she wasn’t exactly performing live, over 100,000 Kakampinks a.k.a. Robredo’s supporters were seen singing along to the Grammy award-winning artist’s hit track Breaking Free.
‘I could not believe this was real. I love you more than words,’ Grande’s caption read. Many Filipino online users spotted her IG Stories and quickly made it the top trending topic on Twitter, with over 63,000 as of writing. If you still can’t believe it, watch a screenshot of her videos below:

Apart from Grande’s presence through the speakers, the grand people’s rally also involved live concerts from local artists such as Ben&Ben, Itchyworms, Autotelic, Ebe Dancel, and more. Other celebrities like Robi Domingo, Julia Barretto, Donny Pangilinan, and Melai Cantiveros were also present.
The Leni-Kiko rally in Pasig City on March 20 has been the largest gathering of the two candidates since the start of their campaign. It was held along Emerald Avenue, where their supporters are all wearing different shades of pink and holding up witty placards.
Even if Grande’s IG Stories wasn’t directly addressed to Robredo, it still surely feels surreal for her Filipino Arianators — plus the fact that the presidential bet’s rally caught the pop star’s attention. Meanwhile, another big name who recently showed support for Robredo was Bretman Rock.
Bretman reposted a photo presenting Robredo talking to a crowd in one of her sorties. Another post showed an image that “shook [him] to the core”: It was Robredo’s closing line during the recent COMELEC Debate. It read, ‘The best man for the job is a woman.
