Clara Benin, Munimuni, and more raised over P100K for Lumad schools

OPM’s brightest stars aligned at Cosmos: An OPM Festival, an online benefit concert brought to screen by the UP Junior Marketing Association (UP JMA) and the Save Our Schools Network (SOS) last March 5, Saturday.

To commence the take-off, Cosmic Clash winner EZA opened a star-studded lineup headlined by Oh, Flamingo!, Clara Benin, Lola Amour, Munimuni, and The Itchyworms, whose music took us out of this world.

In this celebration of OPM, fans caught stellar performances of new songs and iconic OPM hits including fan-favorites Ayokong Tumanda by The Itchyworms, Fallen by Lola Amour, and blink by Clara Benin.

As this year’s performers took to the Cosmos virtual stage, they also joined in to support this year’s #MissionCosmos to advance the call for #MapagpalayangEdukasyon. Some even poked a little fun at their fans by engaging them in the livestream’s comment section.

Keeping its advocacy at heart, the Cosmos: An OPM Festival program also featured performances by the Save Our Schools Network’s students and segments with Teacher Rose Hayahay and Datu Benito Bay-Ao, who spoke about the on-ground realities facing Lumad schools.

With this, Cosmos was able to raise over P121,000 which will go to support the legal and logistical needs of the Save Our Schools Network’s Bakwit School for Lumad students.

Missed the action? Tune in to songs from the stellar night through our Cosmic Playlist on Spotify.
