Pete Davidson is unbothered by Kanye’s ‘Eazy’ MV

The public has quite a fascination for celebrity couples and what goes down between them. Case in point: Kim Kardashian and Kanye (now called Ye)’s divorce. In January, the rapper threw shade at Pete Davidson in the song Eazy after being romantically liked to Kim K. But this time, Ye released the track’s MV that garnered criticism online.

The almost 4-minute video showed clay cartoons, one of which is reminiscent of Davidson. Ye also had a caricature figure who does highly unusual things to the Saturday Night Live comedian: he throws a bag over his head, transports his tied-up body,  and even drags his body and buries it from the neck down.

The black and white stop motion visual also showed how Ye’s replica planted seeds over the Pete-like figure, which later shows that Roses grew out of Davidson’s head. It doesn’t stop there — Ye seems to be holding the severed head as he raps, ‘God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.’

Closing the clip was an eerie message presented onscreen, ‘EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER / EXCEPT SKETE YOU KNOW WHO / JK HE’S FINE.’ The name “Skete” has been assumed as West’s nickname for Davidson. The song also features rapper The Game.

Ye dropped the Eazy music video after reports on Kim Kardashian being legally single. According to ET Online, a close unnamed source of Pete said the comedian is “flattered” by the MV and describes it as “ridiculous”. The source explained he’s not threatened by the rapper in any way.

‘He’s using this to grow in more ways than one including for himself and his relationship with Kim,’ the source added. ‘He is turning all of the negativity into a positive thing.’

While Davidson appears to be unfazed, users online wish him to have “excellent security” because of the things that went down in the music video. Other people also expressed how petty the whole situation is.
