Taylor Swift will speak at Jillian Robredo’s NYU graduation
The first thing that comes to mind when you hear Taylor Swift is that she’s a Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter. But Dr. Taylor Swift recently trended on Twitter when New York University announced that it will award her with an honorary doctorate at this year’s graduation.
While all the fans are excited, Jillian Robredo a.k.a. the youngest of Vice President Leni Robredo’s three daughters, also heard about the news since Swift will be present at the same commencement as her.
F.Y.I., Jillian pursued a biomolecular science degree at NYU in 2018. Meanwhile, Swift is set to receive a Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa, and will also address the university’s class of 2022 on May 18 at Yankee Stadium. Imagine all the Swifties literally having the time of their lives.

In a tweet posted on March 28, Jillian expressed her reaction with two emojis: a blushing emoji and a graduation cap, and tagged Swift. Many online users replied to her post with congratulatory remarks and jokingly said, ‘Make Taylor say let Leni lead’, and ‘Ikaw na talaga bukod sa favotire na anak.’
Apart from Jilian, VP Leni’s two other daughters have already finished their degrees. The eldest, Aika, took up her Master’s studies in Public Administration at Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Governance in May 2018. Then Tricia earned an MD-MBA degree from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health in 2020.
