This KathNiel series will premiere on Netflix before landing local TV
Some Filipino celebs are over their love team phase, while others are still enjoying every moment of it. When it comes to Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, their reel-to-real relationship is still staying strong after over a decade. The pair will also premiere their upcoming series 2 Good 2 Be True on Netflix soon.
ABS-CBN reported that it closed a deal with Netflix, which will allow the KathNiel show to have an exclusive 72-hour window before it lands on local TV on May 16 for free. But if you’re excited, you can binge the episodes earlier on May 13 via Netflix and iWantTFC.
Directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, 2 Good 2 Be True follows Eloy (Padilla) and Ali (Bernardo). The two first met when Eloy stole something from Ali at a party, but she manages to track him down. The rom-com will also show how the characters were both broken due to the complications related to the lives of their parents.

The series’ cast also includes Kristel Fulgar, Pamu Pamorada, Yves Flores, Gelli de Belen, Ronaldo Valdez, Matt Evans, and Bianca De Vera. OG supporters may notice that the show’s filmmaker also helmed the love team’s previous movies such as Crazy Beautiful You and Can’t Help Falling in Love.
The series won’t be complete without a song that would tie the whole show together. Moira Dela Torre’s track Kumpas, which she wrote together with her husband Jason Fernandez, is set to be the song’s OST.
2 Good 2 Be True will be the love team’s third teleserye together after starring in Pangako Sa ‘Yo in 2015, and La Luna Sangre in 2017. Check our their new show’s trailer below:
