This Marvel fan earned a world record for watching ‘No Way Home’ 292 times
There isn’t an official rule to be labeled as an official Marvel fan, but Ramiro Alanis definitely proved he is one after recently breaking a world record for “the most cinema productions attended of the same film”. He watched Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times, which amounts to a total runtime of 720 hours or 30 days.
Alanis accomplished his record between December 16, 2021, and March 15, 2022. He had to attend back-to-back screenings of the Spidey film as he watched it five times a day during its first weeks. He told Guinness World Records that he started getting headaches for repeatedly viewing the flick.
The cinephile also shared that he could “pretty much recite any dialogue along with the movie.” While he can remember the lines from the film, he couldn’t recall the amount he spent on movie tickets but estimated it to be $3,400 (around P178,000).

For the record to be considered by GWR, the person must watch the movie independently of any activity. This means they can’t nap, use their phones, or go to the bathroom while the movie is ongoing. The film’s credit scene must also be seen to completion. The ticket stub and a statement from the theater attendant also served as his proof of viewing.
In case you didn’t know, Alanis already achieved the same record in 2019 for viewing another Marvel film, Avengers: Endgame, 191 times. But Arnaud Klein snatched his record for watching Kaamelott: First Instalment 204 times.
Alanis became “a little bit disappointed” following the news of his record being broken. He said, ‘If anyone tries to break my record again, I want them to think twice before attempting it.’
Alanis didn’t back down and decided to attempt a new one in honor of his late grandmother. He explained, ‘She was my #1 supporter and I want to remain the record holder.’
