Tropical Hut is now ‘low in stock’ after going viral

There has been a supply shortage in the global food industry, and unexpectedly joining the list is Tropical Hut. The homegrown fast food chain announced on social media that it was “low in stock” following its restored popularity among its OG and new customers.

On Facebook, Tropical Hut thanked its Filipino patrons for their “overwhelming support.” But it also said, ‘Some items are now low in stock but we will serve your order as soon as our stocks are replenished. Please bear with us.’

The fast food joint also expressed gratitude last week after they suddenly went viral when a customer shared that he was the only one in Tropical Hut’s Escolta branch at that time.

Last Independence Day, market surveillance analyst John Paul Tanyag shared his Tropical Hut dining experience on Twitter. He also reminisced the days he went with his family until it sparked the Internet’s nostalgia.

Tanyag’s post prompted many Filipino users to talk about their memories of Tropical Hut and even led to others craving for its meals. There were also people who became new patrons of the decades-old fast food chain.

Tropical Hut has been operating since 1962, when it started as a coffee shop inside a grocery store. Some of its offerings include burgers, Pinoy-style spaghetti, clubhouse sandwiches, palabok, spring chicken meals, and more.
