Paradise Rising is back!

Paradise Rising’s newest release aims to bring the Filipino sound to the world stage this Filipino-American History Month

Paradise Rising, the Filipino sub-label of American Asian record label 88rising‘s ‘semilucent 3‘ is a four-track project that features a new breed of Filipino talents coming from across the different regions of America, Australia, and Canada.

Through the different genres such as hip-hop, indie, pop, and R&B, the artists on the EP namely Cabu, DACEY, kristina alcordo, Gabby Nacua, and 8rae came together to showcase Filipino culture and identity for a global audience.

The Beachy, dream-pop track ‘Don’t Wake Me Up‘ by DACEY is the focus track of the EP. Other tracks included in the EP are kristina alcordo’s ‘Senseless‘, Cabu feat Gabby Nacua’s ‘Go Back, and 8rea’s ‘Panalo.

Released on October 7, this is the third installment of Paradise Rising’s ‘semilucent’ compilation. The first debuted in 2019 and featured artists such as Jason Dhakal, Leila Alcasid, Masiah, Fern, and Kiana V. The sophomore EP ‘semilucent 2‘  launched in 2021 with Curtismith, Manila Killa, and Malaysian singer Yuna. 

As of late, they signed Ylona Garcia and Grammy-nominated Filipino singer Guapdad 4000 who released his full-length album ‘1176’.
