The Internet is loving Dream Maker, PH’s latest idol group survival show

Dream Maker is a collaboration between ABS-CBN and MLD, the Korean entertainment company behind K-pop acts Momoland and Lapillus

The survival audition show also teased their signal song titled ‘Take My Hand’

‘Dream Maker: The Search for the Next Global Pop Group’, just revealed the 62 ‘dream chasers’ that will undergo training under Pinoy and Korean coaches and judges during the weekend.

After their first two episodes showcased the boys and their audition pieces, the Internet already has their picks for the trainee/s they are rooting for.

Among the most reshared audition videos was that of 13-year-old Marcus Cabais, who successfully bagged the top spot. He covered Daniel Padilla’s ‘Na Sa’yo na and Lahat’.

Sitting on the second spot undefeated is Vinci Malizon, who covered K-pop boy group GOT7’s hit song, ‘Lullaby’, and was the first dream chaser to audition in the show.

Another trainee who covered Daniel Padilla’s hit was 13-year-old Jeromy Batac, who is currently sitting in the third spot.

Part of the judges is Bae Yoon Jung, a Korean choreographer and Produce series dance mentor notorious for tough love and pushing idols to the bone. Joining her is Thunder, Sandara Park’s brother and former member of K-pop boy group MBLAQ. Jia, formerly from K-pop girl group Brown Eyed Girls, is also a mentor the dream chasers will have.

Local judges include Angeline Quinto, Darren Espanto, and PBB alum and global group Now United member Bailey Mae.

Kim Chui serves as the host of the series and Ryan Bang as a translator for the Korean mentors and the trainees.

The Internet is also in awe of the production quality and commends the staff working on the show.

New episodes of the show come out every Saturday and Sunday.
