Woman gives birth in McDonalds, names the child ‘Little Nugget’
Alandria Worthy went to McDonald’s to get a BigMac but instead came out with a Little Nugget
The Atlanta-based woman’s water broke as she went into the bathroom of the fast-food chain
“I went into the bathroom and my water broke immediately,” Alandria shared the details of her labor with 11 Alive in Atlanta. “It was an experience because it happened so fast.”
Joint manager Tunisia Woodward was quick on her knees to help with the delivery. “I knew to tell my crew “we’re having a baby today.”‘ says Tunisia to the local news affiliate after hearing Alandria scream as she rushed to open the door to see the woman on the floor, lying back, and giving birth.
Tunisia also called her colleagues Sha’querria Kaigler and Keisha Blue-Murray who helped in safely delivering the child and also calling 911.
Alandria’s fiance, Deandre Phillips also came into the bathroom to offer emotional support.
“She was a fighter.” shares Tunisia.
After fifteen minutes, a healthy baby girl nicknamed “Little Nugget” was born.
