Netflix’s Wednesday showrunners tease possibility of future seasons

‘Wednesday’ showrunners confirmed the show was written with future seasons in mind

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar revealed that although the show is yet to be renewed for season two, ‘Wednesday’ has been written with storylines for a potential three or four-season run.

Netflix’s ‘Wednesday took the Internet by storm the moment it came out. The show dethroned ‘Stranger Things Season 4‘ as the English language show with the most hours of views in its first week on the major streaming platform.

The series, with Jenna Ortega who plays the titular role, now currently ties in with ‘Stranger Things 4‘ as it is number 1 in 83 countries since its release.

With all those records set within its debut, it is undeniable that Tim Burton’s reimagination of the ‘Addams Family‘ is THE hot new show and of course, fans just can’t get enough.

Although the end of the inaugural season gave enough answers and maybe even closure, there was still room for fans of the show to wonder and ask some questions enough to spark interest for a possible follow-up season.

This may be because according to an interview the showrunners did with Variety that there was already a structure they had thought of for season two.

That’s never expected, but that’s the anticipation that hopefully, the show is successful. So you always lay out at least three or four seasons’ worth of potential storylines for the characters.” Millar shared.

Millar also admitted that although characters may evolve or change, they already have a pretty clear vision of what they want to do for the future seasons.
