The Internet claims love is dead as K-pop stars HyunA and Dawn break up
The pair got engaged last February which fans thought was the road to their forever
However, after six years of being together, the K-pop duo is no longer 1+1
As if ripping the bandaid quickly to ease the pain, K-pop icon HyunA announced through an Instagram post on November 30 that she and her then-beau former Pentagon member Dawn were no longer together.
The post since then has amassed millions of reactions and thousands of comments all asking the same question: why?
In said post, HyunA mentions that the pair agreed to remain only as good friends and colleagues as translated by Soompi.

Dawn has also released a statement coming to his ex’s defense, saying that she is still someone who is precious to him and has been seen to have liked the announcement his ex-fiance made.
Since the couple revealed their relationship in 2018, they received much support from their fans as they bravely departed their former label Cube to defend their relationship.
The two have been making music together under PNation since 2019, the label headed by ‘Gangnam Style’ singer PSY. In August, the ‘Ping Pong‘ singers split from the company but promised to make more music together.
However, one of the key points to their relationship was their speculated engagement when Dawn posted a video showcasing the duo’s matching rings, captioning it with “Will you marry me?”

In a now-deleted post, HyunA reposted the video saying, “Of course, it’s yes”.
The ring designer even shared how Dawn himself was so intricate and hands-on with the process of curating the personalized rings. The designer also mentioned that the pieces were not to be replicated for anyone else but the couple and that creating them were not cheap.

Maybe, there is a deeper reason the former couple is not yet ready to disclose but the Internet is already losing hope that there is love as even the K-pop power couple separated.

As of writing, no updates have been made since the two’s personal statements were posted on their accounts, and as much as it is heartbreaking, their privacy and decision should remain to be respected.
