The internet is underwhelmed with Nike and Tiffany & Co.’s ‘legendary pair’
“That’s what they came up with?”
Nike gave a glimpse at its newest collaboration with luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. and the internet is split with the look of the forthcoming sneakers.
The new shoe, releasing on March 7, is a fresh take on the Nike Air Force 1 Low coming in Tiffany & Co.’s signature blue box.
Coming in all-black, the AF1 1837 features a black suede upper with a blue Swoosh, and on the tongue is a stitched emblem of the jewelry brand. There are also .925 sterling silver heel tabs on the pebbled leather. It will also come with sterling silver shoe horn, shoe brush, dubraes, and a silver whistle.
‘That’s it?’
After images of the collaboration dropped online, users began sharing their two cents—mostly of how disappointed they were with the design.

Netizens also tweeted about how they expected the kicks to come in brighter colors and not black.

“You mean to tell me Nike teamed up with Tiffany & Co. and THAT’S what they came up with?” one user wrote.
“Tiffany & Co. X Nike shoulda called me because why would they not do a diamond encrusted swoosh?” another added.
Given the design didn’t meet their expectations, others generated their own take on the sneakers with AI.
