Bring back your ‘Team Edward/Team Jacob’ fan merch, as ‘Twilight‘ author Stephanie Meyer shared that we’re bound to get more books of the popular YA series.
The news comes after the official drop of the spinoff book ‘Midnight Sun’ just this August 4, which cashed in more than 1 million copies during its first week. Talk about an eternally dedicated fanbase.
Following 12 years after the release of the fourth Twilight book ‘Breaking Dawn’, the latest installment is a retelling of the first novel through Edward Cullen’s POV.
Meyer had famously announced that she would be leaving the vampire series behind back in 2013, shortly after the first few chapters of ‘Midnight Sun’ were leaked online.
This time around she’s already constructed and outlined what happens next, though it’s unclear if we’ll get another retelling, a new look into Bella and Edward, or even shed the spotlight on other vampires in the Twilight lore.
‘There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write,’ Meyer said during an online event held by US book chain Books-A-Million.
‘I have got them outlined and a chapter written I think of the first one, so I know it’s there. I am not ready to do that right now. I want to do something brand new.’
