Hey gamers, the Nintendo Switch is finally getting a console upgrade
Saving up now
Per Bloomberg, 2020’s breakout gaming device, The Nintendo Switch, is apprently set to get a much-needed upgrade next year.
Part of the upgrades includes a new console slated for a 2021 release, with Nintendo seeking a higher computing power and 4K HD graphics for longer playing times.
A ‘stronger lineup’ of games will also be included, so we guess we’ll finally get over playing ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ for 2 months straight.
Once confirmed by Nintendo, this will be the first time in 3 years that the Switch will get a large-scale update, as they’ve only released the Switch Lite variant and colorways such as the Pantone pink and pastel ‘Animal Crossing‘.
Nintendo and Sony’s PlayStation 4 have long been in battle for the highest-selling gaming console, especially this year when more and more people are getting into gaming at home.
The Switch isn’t having trouble ranking in those sales though, as they’ve sold over 62 million consoles since their March 2017 launch.
Looks like we’re in for a treat
