IKEA Taiwan drops ‘ice dog’ buns reminding us of our local sorbetero
Sorbetes, but make it boujee
IKEA Taiwan has released a ‘new‘ kind of ice cream variant that is no stranger to Filipinos.
Coupling the furniture empire’s classic hotdog buns with some soft-serve ice cream, IKEA Taiwan has created the ‘Ice Dog’ – which is basically a fancier take on Manong Sorbeteros’ ice cream sandwich found all around the country.
IKEA’s variant comes with three scoops of either vanilla or chocolate ice cream, but we all know Ube x Cheese is the superior flavor here.
The new treat has since taken the curious people of Taiwan by storm, with people flocking to their nearest IKEAs to get their hands and take aesthetic photos of the apparently IG-worthy treat.
Seriously, it does look pretty classy with the right angle and a little bit of lighting on it.
If you ever want to get your hands on the cold snack, it sells for $25 TWD (PHP 41.00). Instead of booking a plane and running the risk of Coronavirus, you could just, you know, support local sorbeteros with the usual kinse pesos.
Sorry, but we’re sticking to the OG
