Joji is giving away actual honey for the ‘Nectar’ album drop
There’s a joke somewhere there
88rising’s Joji is offering his very own ‘Fresh From The Hive’ honey for anyone who buys 3 or more merch for his upcoming album ‘Nectar‘.
Despite the project seeming like some kind of Pink Guy-esque hidden joke, the artist has actually collaborated with cruelty-free honey distributor Eli’s Bee Company for the initiative.
‘Joji’s Nectar honey is a testament to the cooperative relationship between the beekeeper cultivating a healthy sustainable environment and the colonies of bees producing this rich and unique honey,’ Joji’s honey site reads.
88rising has also dropped an official video showcasing the honey itself, as it all ties together with the theme of Joji’s sophomore album.
Meanwhile, the artists has been on a nonstop promo spree for the album’s release this coming September 25. He’s since dropped the 18-title tracklist with features from Diplo, Omar Apollo, Benee, Lil Yachty, Rei Brown, and Yves Tumor.
He’s also shared a short film-esque teaser for ‘Nectar‘ earlier today with a seemingly gloomy mood. Typical softboi exterior.
Joji’s sophomore album was originally set to drop on July 10 but was postponed to a later release this September 25.
‘I was really excited to get this amazing project out to you and Ive been busting my balls to bring you the best work. For real I’m really sorry and it breaks my heart to tell you,’ he shared via Twitter back in July.
‘There are way more important issues going on right now and this should be the least of everyone’s concerns.’
Unfortunately, we have to postpone the release of Nectar due to the pandemic. It has affected the whole process for the last 3-4 months, and forced me to push the date to September 25. (1/3)
