People are swiping right to iPhone users more than any other phone

Bias is real

Per Hypebeast, it seems that tech plays a bigger hand on our dating lives than we thought, as Apple iPhone users are apparently more attractive on dating apps than any other phone brand.

The research comes from tech website CompareMyMobile, as they canvassed major cities worldwide to find what kind of gadgets are making people swipe right.

The study analyzed over 50,000 Swipes and Matches from popular dating apps, where they found that people that have an iPhone, iWatch, and AirPods have a higher ‘match rate‘ than fellow phone brands Samsung, Google, Sony, Huawei, OnePlus, and BlackBerry.

It also suggests that women are more affected by tech than men – and that millennials are more influenced by a potential partner’s smartphone than the kind of car they have (if they even drive at all).

Though it doesn’t say why Apple has that pulling factor, it could be from the so-called ‘Apple Ecosystem‘ that connects users easily through exclusive features like iMessage and FaceTime – and the prestige that comes with it. With over 1.4 billion Apple users, it’s likely because there are just a lot of people in that ecosystem.
