For November, we’re getting fitness enthusiast Debold Sinas

It seems like every month in 2020 has had something either insane or memorable to offer. Whether it’s the ongoing pandemic, the Philhealth corruption scandal, or tamaraws dying in captivity, it’s been a… colorful year, to say the least.

Now, November is still pretty young, but we’ve already had surprises, particularly the promotion of Major General/mañanita celebrant Debold Sinas to PNP Chief.

As it turns out, Sinas-related moments are far from over, as our fave rule-skipper-turned-top-law-enforcer is now helming a fitness initiative for the National Police. The program will require cops to do a daily 4-minute exercise routine comprised mostly of sit-down exercises.

To complete its geriatric feel, the exercise is done to the tune of the Voltes V theme song (aka your tito’s go-to jam).

The initiative aims to ‘prevent sedentary lifestyle during office hours to boost immune system’ in our police force where almost half of its members are either overweight or obese. The PNP went on to flaunt a mandate dictating that officers must maintain an ideal weight to be promoted.

Guess that rule didn’t work out, then?
