BTS Meal sneakers now exist

McDonald’s’ BTS Meal has had a pretty crazy reception since its release, so much so that we labeled it as practically the second coming of Christ. Some fans have even resorted to preserving the packaging or creating accessories out of them.

One Singaporean artist took the upcycling up a notch and designed his own set of custom sneakers around the limited-time offering. Fashion designer Josiah Chua took to Instagram to show off his creation, which features nugget pockets on the side, the Cajun and Sweet Chili sauce packets on the laces, and the signature purple and golden arches design as the entire facade.

According to CNA Lifestyle, the custom sneakers took six BTS Meals to make and around four to five hours of cutting, patterning, constructing, and photographing the end results.

So far, neither BTS nor McDonald’s has reached out to Josiah, so an official collaboration seems unlikely as of writing. However, the post has received an overwhelming show of love from fans and Singaporean celebrities alike, garnering around 6k likes on the platform.

Here’s hoping the hype leads to something in the future.
