UNO launched its first championship series with a 2-million peso prize

Your childhood probably wouldn’t be complete without all those entertaining card decks and board games. These days, it seems like kids are diving into the online gaming realm unlike before. However, joining the esports scene is UNO as it hosts its first-ever mobile championship.

In line with celebrating its 50th anniversary, UNO rolled out an app where players worldwide can join its tournament called the UNO Championship Series. Selected players who advance in the mobile round will be invited to compete in person in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 11. They must be aged 18 and above and have reached Level 3 in the game.

Your plus four and reverse card skills can still come in handy, and you might just end up taking home the grand prize worth $50,000 (approximately Php. 2,492,625). Apart from that, there will also be in-game titles, trophies, and medals.

If you want to keep things old school, stick to UNO’s premium card set to honor its anniversary. The deck is sealed in sleek packaging that includes an exclusive gold coin and a special “50/50” card. It’s priced at $5.99 (approximately Php 298).
