This nurse is the only Filipino included in the list of 100 healthcare leaders in the world

If there’s anyone that deserves to receive the most credit amid the pandemic, all the healthcare frontliners are on top of the list. In fact, Filipino nurse Dan Lester Dabon was part of the Top 100 healthcare leaders in the world. He was recognized by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare (IFAH) for 2020 to 2021.

The 32-year-old was the only Filipino and youngest on the mentioned list, where most recipients are usually in their 50s. IFAH is one of the top global healthcare conferences that explores the latest innovations in the industry. The awards committee meticulously selected the awardees based on five parameters: overall reach, industry impact, spirit of innovation, future-readiness, and market demand.

Dabon has been living in Abu Dhabi for a decade, where he started as a hospital nurse assistant and now is a risk management officer at the largest ambulatory care in the Middle East. He is also is the chief executive officer and founder of DLD Healthcare Service, which is based in the Philippines.

‘My goal is to slowly administer change in the paradigm to internationalize the healthcare standards, especially in my country, the Philippines,’ Dabon explained.
