Elon Musk is ‘serious’ on battling Putin to win Ukraine’s freedom
Many world leaders are finding a way to resolve the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Unexpectedly, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk took to Twitter his own solution to win Ukraine’s freedom: he challenges Russian President Vladimir Putin in a one-on-one battle.
On Monday, Musk tweeted, ‘I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat,’ typing Putin’s name in Russian. ‘Stakes are Ukraine,‘ he added, writing the country’s name in Ukrainian. He also posted a follow-up message and tagged the Kremlin’s account. He wrote, ‘Do you agree to this fight?’
Since Twitter suspended its services in Russia, no one can really tell if Putin saw what Musk has been up to. Meanwhile, the Tesla and SpaceX founder’s challenge came after a string of uncanny posts from quoting a Shakespeare line to posting a meme related to the two nations at war.

Whether or not the fight will take actually happen, Musk clarified in a separate tweet that he is “dead serious” with fighting Putin. Online users have mixed reactions since the Russian president happens to be a former KGB officer and earned a black belt in judo. But Musk is a whole lot younger at 50 years old, while Putin is already 69.
Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov caught Musk’s tweet and said, ‘I am sure that Elon Musk can send Putin to Jupiter,’ before sharing a link to a website that accepts donations to “Send Putin to Jupiter.”
Musk’s statements follow his satellite internet company, Starlink, which arrived in Ukraine in early March. Starlink utilizes satellites to heighten broadband internet access which is now active in Ukraine.
