Remember ‘Sadako’? She’s apparently a YouTube vlogger now

Just when you thought Sadako was immortalized through The Ring’s movie adaptation, you’ll see the long-haired ghost in a video game soon. Not only that, but she recently launched an official YouTube channel, which is called Sadako Well Living.

It seems like horror icons can be a vlogger these days. Sadako’s YouTube channel is set to present her daily life as a “teenage girl” when she’s not busy spreading her curse. You’ll constantly see her wearing a long white dress, bloody nails, and her signature hairdo.

Similar to her films, Sadako doesn’t talk that much, but the subtitles on the screen are there to give viewers some context. The channel also has plans on showing her playing video games, morning routine, and cooking. Sadako has garnered 34,000 subscribers since her first video on March 6.

In the videos, subscribers will see Sadako’s Japanese-styled room, where she answers a hundred questions for her subscribers to know her better. A few of the things she revealed include her favorite book, which is Ringu, for obvious reasons. Her favorite movie is Ghostbusters, and her favorite manga is Jujutsu Kaisen.

The Sadako Well Living channel was created by Kadokawa pictures to promote the upcoming movie Sadako DX, which marks the 14th entry for the franchise as a whole. It will star Koshiba Fuka as Ichijo Ayaka and is directed by Kimura Hisashi. The film will premiere in Japanese theaters this year.
