A new Percy Jackson book has been confirmed by Rick Riordan

After 14 years, Percy Jackson is back!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Chalice of the Gods will be out in September 2023

Rick Riordan, author of the hit Young Adult novel series ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ confirmed that a new Percy Jackson novel will be hitting the stands next year.

‘Nearly a decade after the release of THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood will star in a brand new adventure from Rick Riordan!’ the author tweeted on October 18, Tuesday.

News of the author’s upcoming release first came about a few months after the ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Disney+ series started production.

According to Riordan, the new story arc will follow Percy’s college life.

‘Unfortunately, the gods aren’t quite done with him. Percy will have to fulfill a new quest in order to get the necessary letter of recommendation from Mount Olympus for his application to New Rome University.’  Riordan’s book description reads.

Fans of the book and adaptation are ecstatic with the news, given that it’s been 14 years since Percy and the gang got together for an adventure. They are also very excited to see the beloved protagonist grow up and see how he reacts to getting an acceptance letter to the university.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians 6’ is the second book Riordan will be releasing in 2023. The first book ‘The Sun and the Star A Nico Di Angelo Adventure’, a story about another Pery Jackson character, comes out May next year.
