Netflix renews The Sandman for another season
It seems that ‘The Sandman’ dodged being on Netflix’s canceled shows list
After announcing that ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ won’t be back for another season, ‘The Sandman’ fans don’t have to worry about the fate of their favorite show
After quite a shindig caused by DC’s official Twitter accidentally leaking the announcement, it is official that Netflix renewed ‘The Sandman’ for a new season, as reported by Deadline. The announcement amidst many Netflix show cancellations assured Sandman fans that even more of Neil Gaiman’s stories of the Endless will be explored.
The announcement was first made in a now-deleted Tweet by DC that reads, “The dream continues. @Netflix_Sandman will return with new episodes…” that Netflix later on officially confirmed with a quote from Gaiman. “It gives me unbelievable pleasure to say that, working with Netflix and Warner Bros, Allan Heinberg, David Goyer, and I will be bringing more of The Sandman stories to life.”
The rumours are true. Netflix is thrilled that so many of you have been watching Sandman, and the thing we were all hoping would happen… has indeed happened… pic.twitter.com/zc5CrhsdZK

Gaiman also assured that no one is happier about this than the staff and crew, who happen to be the biggest Sandman fans out there.
The 10-episode series based on Gaiman’s DC Comics series premiered on August 5, 2022, which people loved as it remained true to Gaiman’s original work of the same name.
‘The Sandman’ follows Morpheus, one of the seven Endless, and is the personification of dreams. In 1996, he gets captured in an occult ritual. After being held captive for 106 years, Dream escapes and embarks on a journey to restore order to the Dreaming, his realm.
