Selena Gomez reveals a new side in new documentary, ‘My Mind and Me’
The singer became candid about friendship, struggles, and mental health
She also named Taylor Swift as her only friend in the industry which caused a rift between her and her old friend and liver donor, Francia Raisa
Singer-actress and now Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez has a new feat to her name. Starting out as a child star who then had a newfound level of fame through Disney Channel, Selena shared the nitty-gritty in her new Apple TV documentary titled ‘Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me’.
The Internet has not stopped talking about the documentary since it came out last November 4. Videos on TikTok specifically showed how they were bawling their eyes out in the first few minutes of the documentary because of how raw it was.

Alek Keshishian, who was also behind the 1991 Madonna concert documentary ‘Madonna: Truth or Dare’ was open with how much access Selena gave him for the documentary turning it into what it is now.
In the documentary that showcased some of the popstar’s darkest times, one of the many things she opened up about was her bipolar disorder. Backstage scenes from her 2016 ‘Revival’ tour will also give clarity to its unexpected halt.
Here, she also becomes more candid about suffering from her autoimmune disease Lupus, that she took a break to have chemotherapy.
However, the film will also show Selena’s recovery, her road to rediscovering herself and her purpose, as well as reclaiming her emotions.
The multi-hyphenate also released a single of the same title to go along with the documentary with lyrics that really reflect what the documentary is about.
